Description

Roger Sadowsky has made it his mission to improve an already very successful bass design even further by making a number of detail improvements. Together with the electronics he developed, he managed to raise the well-known J / J bass sound to a new level, so that today one can speak of a typical Sadowsky tone: never sounding harsh, with deep, defined, by no means muffled bass, present but not intrusive mids as well as sweet and airy highs. All the characteristics of this modern bass sound can also be found in the 24-fret vintage basses of the MetroLine series, which are made exclusively in Germany. All basses have a weight of approx. 3.8-4 kg and are therefore also of interest to bassists who are looking for a lightweight solution for the stage in addition to a modern bass sound. Deep cutaways, 24 frets, J-style pickups in a modern position closer to the bridge, the electronics with true bypass of the preamp with vintage tone control, treble and treble boost, the ultra-light hipshot tuning machines and the special Sadowsky bridge that makes a fast Changing strings enables all requirements of modern styles to be met. The five-string bass with a slightly reduced J-style body made of swamp ash comes in a high-gloss Solid Olympic White High Polish finish. which allows a quick string change meet all demands of modern styles. 1. Steve B

I purchased this MetroLine beauty (made in Germany) a few months ago from BGD and I’m finding it very hard to put down…..Went into the shop to buy a different bass but walked out with this one! The main qualities that really stand out for me are 1. The neck carve/profile – it feels thinner at the back which makes playing more natural and connected. 2. The Preamp is just so versatile – super quick & easy to dial in ‘it’s monstrous’ & ‘punchy as hell’ with no mucking around. 3. Lightweight and comfortable with noiseless J pups. Overall: I highly recommend this bass for any genre of music – its a pure workhorse that looks & feels incredible.

I have the Alder/Morado Edition of this Bass and it’s just phenomenal and I’ve had almost every high end Jazz Bass ( except Celinder ) that one could have and they were great instruments , however this thing is on a whole another level but that’s just my opinion.
