Basses are one of the most beautiful hand crafted basses in the world
which come with a tone to match. The Roscoe tone is undeniable and
powerful. This is backed up with notable endorsers who are well regarded
bass players across the world such as Jimmy Haslip of the Yellowjackets
and Kim Stone of the Rippingtons.
Roscoe
builds 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 string electric bass guitars entirely by hand
and entirely in their own factory. Unlike many builders of fine handmade
instruments, none of their manufacturing is sent out. Even their fine
high-gloss and hand rubbed oil finishes are applied by themselves. Raw
lumber comes in and finished instruments go out.
Roscoe Basses are available in 5 styles.
* The LG model
is a small hand-carved body offered for 4,
5, and 6 string basses.
*The SKB model
is a larger hand-carved body for 5, 6, 7 and 8 string basses.
*The Century Signature Bass
is similar to the Century Standards but has a carved top and wedge neck and is
also available in 4, 5, 6, and 7 string models.

The NEW CENTURY STANDARD
is based
on Roscoe's top of the line Century Signature series
bass. The Century Standard shares the same body shape,
materials, hardware and quality of construction, by the same
builders, same workshop at a more affordable, entry level
price.
There is no real difference in performance
between the SKB/LG/Century Signature models and the Century
Standard. The primary differences you will notice are, that
the body is a solid swamp ash with a very light satin finish,
and the neck is a 3-piece maple neck instead of the standard
maple/purpleheart/maple, neck from the other lines. They’re
just incredible basses, in every way possible.
Still hand-built in the
USA, they are very lightweight and versatile,
and feature Hipshot ultra-light hardware and Bartolini
Pickups and electronics.
Wide range of very useable tones from a "P bass on steroids"
to a tight, quick, "burpy" J bass bridge pickup performance.
