Germany's Glockenklang began building high-quality PA and hi-fi equipment in 1974; the small company entered the bass-amp business in '88. "Glockenklang" translates loosely to "bell sound", which represents their amps' clarity. Many high-end bass builders use Glocks as a reference standard because they reveal an instrument's nuances and character in microscopic detail. Luthiers often set the Glock's tone controls nearly flat or bypass them completely to hear a bass's pure sound.

In today’s trend to make
everything bigger, faster or flashier, the team at Glockenklang give
thought to the concept of making things simply ‘better’. They believe

Both the Heart Rock and Soul II
amplifiers have been technically upgraded recently. The Heart Rock puts
out a MASSIVE 1000 real watts @ 2.67 ohms.
This means, it can handle
three 8 ohms cabs or one 4 ohms and one 8 ohms cab. As well as this, the
preamps in both the Heart Rock and Soul II have been modified to provide
a warm, accurate and very dynamic and powerful bass-sound. One of the
highlights is the newly developed mosfet-poweramp section, which gives
both amps an incredible dimension in dynamics and power. As well
as this, increased gain levels provide a smooth overdrive, if desired.
Both amplifiers rewards it's owners with clear, articulate and powerful
sound reproduction. The response is lightning fast and pure at the same
time. Your bass notes will have a certain fullness and body unheard of
from any Solid State amp. Almost "TUBE LIKE".
The pre amp's main feature is the 5 band eq, with it's specially tailored frequency centres. It allows the artist to quickly and exactly shape his individual sound. Perfect for the discriminating bass artists, capable of producing a lively and accurate bass sound, even under extreme conditions.

GLOCKENKLANG BASS LOUDSPEAKERS
All STANDARD
Glockenklang speaker systems use Volt woofers, custom made exclusively
for Glockenklang, and Fostex tweeters. The standard cabinets are
built from Baltic Birch timber which is then externally finished with a
durable epoxy coating, and a studio-grade acoustic foam lines the
inside.
There is also LIGHTWEIGHT versions available which are identical to their STANDARD models except that they use composite sheets in the construction, and carpet on the outside to reduce the weight by up to 6kg (13lbs) on some models.
NEODYMIUM loaded speaker cabinets are also available for the TAKE 5 - 410 & DUO 210 range which makes these cabinets even lighter by up to a further 6kg (13lbs) than the LIGHT version using the same composite materials and carpet.
All Glockenklang speaker systems compliment their
range of amplifiers very well and just enhance the pure, rich tone
produced by their amplifiers. Very sensitive, responsive and dynamic
describes the performance of their speakers.
 The Double cab is known as the warmest sounding Glockenklang cabinet. It is a joy with fretted basses, but really shines with fretless basses. It seems to bring out that last little detail with great warmth and definition. Combines nicely with either the Uno Deluxe 15" or Quattro 410.
