CUSTOMER FEEDBACK / REVIEWS

Hi George – It’s a very different instrument than I’m used to but it sure is rewarding to play. The punch and articulation is very addictive, and surprisingly that fat, deep voice doesn’t clobber everyone else in my band. It actually sits
well in the mix, which was my main concern. I should also mention, that it sure is purdy! And the build quality looks flawless.

Muchos gracias! Ralph.

Hi George, I am thankful for you to bring in the Sadowsky brand into Australia, I’ve used the bass at gigs and rehearsals and it was great!! Took in your advice and i get to dial in the sound that i want through the use of the VTC, which is something that i am starting to appreciate to have on any of my future purchase of basses.
The boost only preamp does require me to re-think how i dial in my EQ, which is a good exercise as it allows me to further my understanding of the bass and how the EQ should really work subject to the venue I play and the associated equipment. As i am normally too lazy and leave my EQ settings the same through out, but the versatility of the preamp gets me to re-think and gets me interested in the different tones it can offer, which is good! Thank you again for all your help George, it has been a pleasure dealing with you. Cheers, WC.

Hi George, Thanks again I am loving the bass – great tone – I love the clear highs – I find myself being rewarded when I go up the neck by a beautiful tone that cuts through the mix and sounds so sweet. Thanks again, Mark

Thanks George, This bass is definitely it for me. Punchy, Growly, Fat, Zingy – it does it all. WOOHOO:-). This is the Groove Monster as far as I’m concerned. I’m over the moon. Cheers, Michel.

Michel Latumaelissa – UV70 5 – MW – ASH – Black – NSW

I’m really enjoying the Roscoe. I’ve done a few gigs with it and have nothing but praise for it. The B string is still the best I’ve ever heard and the high register cuts through the mix with ease. Great bass for soloing. I just put a set of DR Black Beauties on it and they work really well with the bass. I’ll send you a picture of it soon.
Thanks, Luke.

Thanks George for helping me find “my rig”. The Bergantino IP112 and Ex112 setup is amazing. Instead of constantly turning ’round on stage to glare at my amp and fiddle with the EQ, I’m now constantly turning round and smiling! And being able to try it out over a three gig weekend had me sold. Huge, warm, articulate, smooth and focused are some adjectives but really it’s just the very definition of bass for me. Thank you George for your flexibility and enthusiasm and for making sure I got the sound I wanted (eventually!). Don’t go to the stores… go to BASS GEAR DIRECT!!

Thanks George – for the OUTSTANDING service, from your support through to the knowledge of the gear George, was fantastic. Couldn’t be happier with the rig, I play many varied gigs from jazz trio on upright to big band with electric and upright, through to pop/rock gigs and the Bergs have been great. What a well thought out rig, and more than powerful enough for all that i’ve thrown at it. Thanks George for bringing this great gear to our shores.
Kind regards, Barney

PS – Only thing now is i’ve got an eye on a bigger IP310 for larger gigs. Hope to talk soon.

I bought the Bergantino IP112 powered speaker and EX112 cabinet a few months back off George. Firstly the gear is small, portable and light ā€“ relative to most cabinets. Really nice sound ā€“ responsive and good bass production and handling. The hype is true i.e. itā€™s surprising such a big sound can come from a 1 x 12ā€ cab. Easy to use, Iā€™ve never been a knob twirler or a technophile ā€“ I like to just plug in and play. The inbuilt EQ of the IP112 is great ā€“ the only thing I have to do is press 1 button to select whether Iā€™m using the IP112 alone, or also using the EX112 extension cab too. You do need a preamp with this setup, but you only adjust the gain and master volumeā€“ so very user friendly. I would say the EQ suits all styles ā€“ I play some slap, reggae and funk but mainly blues and rock at the moment and the EQ of the sound is never out of place ā€“ which is something I was a little sceptical of initially. Extremely happy. Iā€™ve always had cheap or 2nd hand rigs. I made sure when I finally bought a new rig, Iā€™d be going for something I would be happy with for ever i.e. top end. I tried out a lot of rigs and the Bergantinoā€™s were what I was looking for. Having gigged / practised with them for a few months now, I still hold that belief. You can tell George is passionate and enthusiastic about his gear and bass playing in general. Heā€™s also a very good bassist and has been around a while ā€“ therefore he knows what itā€™s like to be a gigging muso and knows what itā€™s like to deal with gear salesmen. So his down-to-earth attitude and good knowledge base was very welcome from my perspective. His prices are very good. For the amount heā€™s charging for top end gear, youā€™d be getting middle range gear in other shops. I even rang George when he was on holidays with his family (before I bought the gear). He was happy to talk to me and field my questions. Anyway, it has been a real pleasure and a big thanks to George for this fanatastic gear. Now I know what he means by “BASS NIRVANA”. Cheers, Dave.

HI George, bass gear arrived Tuesday; Great!!! sounds fantastic. The Summit TD100 is perfect with the IP rig. Couldn’t wait to get my hands this exact set-up when I first tried it in New York 6 months ago. Man, I was so glad when I learned Bergantino had a local supplier. Well done George. Next on my shopping list soon is one of those sweet looking Sadowsky Metro basses. Cheers mate. Peter.

Hi George, The HT112ER works very well thank you. I think your description of it was very accurate. It IS very focussed and even across the whole spectrum. I am very pleased with the sound, especially with my 5 string Warwick bass.

Thanks very much George. Cheers, Neil

(PS , give me a couple of weeks and I suspect an order for an EX112ER will come your way.)

Neil Macpherson – HT112ER – Elctric Bass – VIC.

It was a really positive experience purchasing my new gear from George. He was very patient with the high volume of emails I sent him and phone calls made. I tried various combinations of gear at his house 3 times and when I thought I had the right combination (the gear listed above), he let me try out the demo gear on a gig. So when I did finally purchase from him, I knew I was getting exactly what I wanted. Thank you George!!

I play upright and electric bass. For most of my gigs, the iAMP800 and Bergantino HT112 is plenty. I barely tweak the EQ for my upright bass and get a great sound. A pianist recently commented, “The tone through your amp is just like your bass unamplified”. From the low E to the notes way up the neck on the G-string, the output is so consistent.

As for my electric bass, at low volumes I love playing the iAMP EQ flat with the Deep setting activated. This gives me a great fat sound with good note definition. On the bigger gigs the Bergantino HT112 and EX112 together are HUGE! In the past I dreaded big gigs and what it would do to my gear, now I long for more of them!

I just can’t get over how compact this gear is too. It takes up very little room on the bandstand and of course fits in the car no problems.

This gear has given my playing a new lease of life. I now no longer have to worry about getting a good sound out of my amp, my focus now is on the notes I play and the groove. That is really refreshing and hence gigs are much more enjoyable.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend George for service, professionalism and a great deal.

Cheers, Matt

EA iAMP800, Bergantino Stack – HT112 / EX112

Hi George
Just a quick note to let you know how my new rig is going. The Bergantino’s are much more than I expected now that I’ve got the iamp800. What an awesome setup and so easy to move around – the whole rig fits in the boot of my Hyundai Getz……..it seems ridiculous that you can get such a huge sound from something so physically small….not to mention the beautiful tone of the iamp800.
Anyway all the best for Christmas and the New Year……..I hope it’s very prosperous for you.
Hope to catch up again soon.
Regards
Pete Cairns

Peter Cairns – iAMP800 / Bergantino Stack HT112 & EX112, Newcastle, NSW

Iā€™ve played in 5 different environments over the past 2 weeks and I can say that it has had the single biggest effect on the sound I hear. I guess I would describe it as giving a fuller, clearer sound that allows me to be heard (and hear myself) without really being louder. Previously, turning the volume up just produced an indistinct sound. Now if I do turn the volume up I still get a good clear sound but louder.

Interestingly, I notice that when you strike a note you get a good solid response that makes it sound more like itā€™s coming from the instrument rather than some ā€œotherā€ sound coming out of the box. Itā€™s a very satisfying effect. So overall Iā€™ve been really pleased with the box. Thanks.

Rod Evans – Bergantino HT112, Melbourne, VIC

Hey George, received the cabs today!
They are really great, its the sound I’ve been after, everything is so clear and defined, even when doing chords, there’s no muddyness either, which I’ve experienced with other 12″ cabs. I’ve had to spend a lot of time EQ’ ing other cabs, but I can easily find good settings for these cabs. My jazz bass and Precision fretless sound incredible. I can tell they will cut through any mix very nicely. Thanks for the speakers and your help.

Hey George – Just thought Iā€™d drop you an email to thank you for your help yesterday. The boxes sound fantastic!!! The only problem being that I have to give them back to Pete and buy my own pair. Thanks again and Iā€™m sure Iā€™ll see you soon.
Cheers, MC
Hi George – Just a quick note – the Bergantino’s delivered well beyond my expectations last night. My son Mitch used them at a local pub in a four piece funk band……..they sounded great particularly with my G&L. There were a lot of bass players there last night and they all loved the sound. I can’t wait to unload my Ampeg and get my hands on a iAMP800. Regards, Peter Cairns.

Peter & Mitch Cairns – Bergantino HT112 & EX112, Newcastle, NSW

Hi George, Picked up the cab yesterday. Got it to a rehearsal last night, it not only blew myself and my band members away (so much midrange, but not harsh in the slightest just THICK. EXACTLY the sound I was after, the Mesaā€™s midrange control was allowed below 8 for the first time in years), and as for the overdriven stuff, thereā€™s a few songs that I play that end kind of loud and obnoxious, and I canā€™t wipe the grin off my face. As I excused myself for a toilet break I stumbled on a handful of guys from another band whose ears were glued to our rehearsal room door, all gushing over the bass tone! Reminds me of an old Jimeoin joke about how the bass always sounds better from outside a pubā€¦ so why donā€™t they just set the bass players up in the pub down the road? Iā€™m going to wait for a big gig and hire an SVT to put on it. Sounds sweet with my 180-200W tube mesa head, but itā€™d be a crime not to give it a run in ā€˜top gear’.

Thanks for your service George, itā€™s good to see someone using a bit of nouse and importing gear that isnā€™t heavily endorsed/advertised. I get pretty sick of retailersā€™ pricing these days. Most of them have conveniently ā€˜absorbedā€™ the difference with the strong aussie dollar. It gets hard to use a warranty as a reason to buy locally when you can import 2 of something from the US for the same money of one in Australia. You seem to be one of the few guys doing a good deal on quality gear, and Iā€™ll be sure to tell any gear-hungry bass players I encounter in Perth!

Thanks and best of luck, James Trewenack

James Trewenack – NV610 – WA – electric bass

George, Just thought Iā€™d give you a bit of feedback regarding the cab. THIS THING ROCKS!!! Played my first gig with it last Friday and I couldnā€™t believe my ears! I play in a death/doom metal band and have had major problems cutting through the guitars using other cabs but not with the NV610. Each note is clear and defined even when pushing the amp into maximum overdrive. I couldnā€™t be happier, the cab has completely exceeded my expectations and your customer service is second to none. Iā€™ll be recommending these to all my friends! Thanks again, Dan

Daniel Laidlow – NV610 – WA – electric bass

G’day George! Just writing back to give you a big THUMBS UP concerning the Bergantino NV610! I have jammed with it twice and played two shows, one being at Perth’s biggest live music venue (for local bands), and the sound has been amazing for both of them. On Saturday night in particular, we played with a fairly high profile Perth band, and their bassist was in awe of the Sunn/Bergantino combination. After we played he said it sounded HUGE out front, so much punch and bottom end. Not only him but people in the crowd were blown away. A friend of mine said she had to leave the room because it was that loud! So I’d just like to say thanks again for all your help in getting me the cabinet, I really, really appreciate it. I have already begun spreading good words about your services, and will continue to do so. Until next time, all the best George, looking forward to doing business with you again.
Regards, Chris Shaw.

Chris Shaw – NV610 – WA – electric bass

This cab is amazing! My guitarist, who generally doesn’t care much about my bass gear, commented it sounded great and sat in the mix nicely. Very cool coming from him! I’ve only put a couple of hours on it so far. It’ll get another five or so tonight so the speakers should be loosened up soon. I have a feeling it’ll sound better
the harder it gets pushed!
Again, thank you so much for all the help you’ve given along the whole process George! Can’t say how much I appreciate it. As I’ve said before I would recommend you, without any hesitation, to anyone looking for top end bass gear.
Cheers, Joe

Joe Simmonds – NV610 – Wellington – New Zealand – electric bass

“Firstly huge thanks for the support and assistance George provided to me in importing this cabinet. You made the process as smooth and easy as possible, and I will certainly be back to deal with him again. The dent in the grill for which you gave me a nice discount was so small that I would not have bothered about it, but it is a testament to your honesty and professionalism that you drew it to my attention. The cabinet itself lived up to all my expectations and all the hype. Firstly, it is incredibly easy to move around, much easier than my SWR Goliath 410. Soundwise it is one sweet cabinet – warm, punchy mids that sit perfectly in the mix and plenty of bottom end. I certainly did not miss a tweeter and was able to dial in all the highs I would ever need for my style of music (rock/blues). This cabinet simply loves tubes, while it was quite happy driven by my Markbass head it came into its own with my Mesa 400+ and was easily the best tone I have achieved in 30 plus years of pro and semi-pro gigging.”
Anyway, many thanks George. I am looking to be over there in a couple of months and hope I might save freight cost by bringing something back like a stack of Bergantino AE112s as personal luggage. Cheers, Tim walton.

Tim Walton – NV610 – Hastings – New Zealand – electric bass

I just thought i’d send through a message to say thankyou for the great
service and supplying a brilliant bass cabinet in the Bergantino NV 610 at a
great price. The cab arrived in perfect order, and WOW.
I was able to play the cabinet at its first band practice on Sunday night, paired with an Ampeg svt Pro 4 that i broke out for the first time as well. Lets just say my master volume didnt go past 12 o’clock once. This combo absolutely cut through, and my 2 guitarists, with all valve marshalls and an all valve hughes and kettner commented that the bass had a precence it had never had before.
I feel that this cabinet sits perfectly in my mix, and am glad that i didnt opt for a bigger and heavier ampeg “fridge”. The cabinet slots into the back seat of my car with little difficulty, and is quite light for the sound it creates.
I can see why you can offer a 2 week trial period, because you know that it will take a hard man to not fall in love with these cabs.

Again George, thankyou for bringing these beautiful cabs to Australia!

Ben Quinn – Bergantino NV610, Gold Coast, QLD

George, a big thank you for your service which was wonderful and thank god that someone in Australia is willing to sell GOOD bass gear at reasonable prices! Thank you once again George! And thanks to Jim Bergantino for building the best cabs ever.

Hey George, regarding the Berg HS410 I just wanted you to know that, by golly she sounds great with my G&L2500 ā€“ what a sound!!! She can take everything I throw at her and give back more. WOW ! Head down to Sydney’s Bergantino Mecca at Bass Gear Direct ā€“ I did and am more than happy. All I can say about the HS410 is Buli Kala. Cheers Ben.

Ben Vaai – HS410 – NSW – electric bass – old school, top 40 covers.

Hi George – one word – BEWDIFUL. Tone is consistent at low and high volume. FULL and RICH is the best way to describe it. Very balanced through the whole frequency range. Now my world has changed forever. Theres no going back from this glorious tone. Thank you for your expertise and service. Regards, Edwin.

Edwin Maynes – HS210 – electric bass – Northern NSW.

I bought the HT322 from George a few weeks ago, and I couldn’t be happier.
I never thought Bergs would live up to the hype, since nothing usually does. Boy was i surprised the first time i played through my Berg, it lived up to the hype.Sounds awesome. Great lows, great mids, and CRYSTAL CLEAR highs!!! It has a real presence to its tone, very full and articulate. I was very pleasantly surpised with the cabinet, as I bought it sight unseen and unheard!
Very well built. I can tell that Jim Bergantino loves his products, because the care he put into this cab is apparent to everyone who lays eyes on it.
Casters. it came with ’em. what a great help for such a big cab.
The price: $1910AUD. that’s cheaper than a new 410XLT, 410RBH, 410UL etc etc. It was a real bargain, and it was BRAND SPANKING NEW!!!
Did I mention it sounds awesome?

Ray Assaad – Bergantino HT322, Melbourne, VIC.

The iamp500 is fantastic, we had our album launch show on Saturday and the clarity and drive was amazing. I will definitely be returning as soon as I can to check out the Bergantino NV610 as the more I read the more I want one. Thanks for the great service and the great hospitality. Kind Regards, Peter Langford.

Hi George, just wanted to let you know I’m really enjoying the iAMP 500. It’s equally great for the upright and electric. I love the portability, power and the incredibly tight and focused sound I’m getting. Thanks a million. Emile.

Emile Nelson – EA iAMP500, Sydney, NSW (Freelance , Session Player, Glenn Shorrock, Wendy Mathews, Human Nature, Christine Anu, Rachel Beck, Vanessa Amorosi)

These amps are awesome……incredible tone and power…….and so light. Built to represent the sound of your instrument, I have never heard my double bass sound so good and with such little effort. Minimal tweaking and i get a great electric bass sound. The EQ section is so versatile and easy to use that makes it adaptable to any room you play in. I can use the combo on smaller gigs and add the speaker for larger gigs. Highly recommended product. George is fantastic to deal with. He’s a musician who cares about getting good gear at a good price to musicians and is definitely not a salesman. He has given up lots of his time to answer my endless questions and accomodate me to come over to try gear. Very patient and helpful as i continually swap between different systems. Great gear, great prices and great person!!!
Cheers, Mervyn.

Received my EA iAMP800 today tried it out works great with my double bass get a very natural tone with heaps of bottom end and volume “more than enough”. Also like to point out that the Stereo input works quite well with the neck pickup for the click, so that was a bonus. I use an Underwood pickup & all gut strings for anybody thinking about buying one, my message to them would be ( DON’T THINK JUST BUY IT ). thanks – Pete.

Peter Mawson – iAMP800 – Double Bass – Rockabilly scene, VIC

I could not be happier!!!
I gig about three times a week in some great sounding rooms but I also do my fair share of really ordinary sounding rooms too! previously, with my beloved Trace head, I resigned myself to the fact that I was just not going to pull a decent bass sound in those horrible rooms. How wrong I was!!! The iAMP 800 is a beautifully transparent, true sounding amp with miles of EQ options (which I barely use cause it sounds great running flat!).
I use a G&L L2500 which I can actually now hear what it really sounds like without any colour from the amp. For the first time no matter where I am my sound just cuts through.
I can drive the iAMP really hard without the signal breaking up, leaving me with tons of headroom and a super clean signal.
A good friend of mine, and an amazing bass player, stopped me from making the fatal mistake of buying something else. He said “go and see George at Bass Gear Direct, his products are awesome and George is a great bloke” Thankyou Mitch, you certainly weren’t wrong!!
So clean, powerful, small, light and great value for money. Cheers George, the iAMP 800 really is a cut above the rest!!

Zac

P.S. I’m coming for some Berg’s real soon!

Zac Isaacs – iAMP 800 – Newcastle NSW

I’ve gigged with the iamp800 a few times since purchasing it, on both slab and upright. Last Saturday night did a fairly loud rockish, type gig using my G&L L2000 and fretless CIJ Fender Jazz ’62 reissue. and it was amazing. From the first note I hit, I knew this rig mean’t business. I’ve never really been happy with my live sound before with other rigs, it’s always sounded kind of muddy. The iAMP cut straight through and I’ve never had so much clarity and definition. A friend of mine who was at the gig (also a bass player) did a bit of a walk around while we were playing to see what it was like around the room. He said that even when he got as far away as he could from the stage and the PA was giving up, the bass was still crystal clear.
I also used it for a quieter folky gig at The Basement were I used fretless and upright. They both sounded beautiful and I got quite a few comments on how good my sound was. As I’m sure a lot of you know, it’s not easy to get a good amplified upright sound. The “tone shaping” (EQ) is probably the easiest I’ve used.

George is a great guy with some great gear (and since your dealing directly through him, the distributor, it’s a whole lot cheaper, and better IMO, than the competitors). Thanks, Stephen

Stephen Bardell – iAMP800, Sydney, NSW

Hi George, thanks for your great service the amp arrived overnight in perfect condition. I purchased the iamp 800 after having had the NL-210 cab for over 12 months and these 2 sound great together a perfect match!
The iamp 800 has a wide frequency range that is crystal clear, and this works very well with the NL-210 (which has a kind of warm sound thick sound) it sounds best left flat (why change something when you dont need to) with both my old P bass and Jazz Deluxe, or maybe with contour 1 engaged. the other presets work well too depending on what music style and bass you have.
Then i plugged in the Double Bass, this was where the tone shaping section came into its own. I have a realist pup on the DB, which i could not get a good sound out of using my Gk head, its just too boomy sounding.
However with the iamp, i just isolated the offending frequency and cut it back and hey presto very usable sound, i still might try another pickup, but this would get the job done too.
All in all this is the best sound i have ever had, maybe one day i’ll but another NL-210 or a CXL12 but then i won’t be playing stadiums either …
Thanks again George for all your great help.
Cheers, Chris Birnie

I’ve been merrilly playing away since I unpackaged and set it up, have done several gigs so far with a Blues / Rock outfit and the sound is just bloody gorgeous, EQ flat, the amp is GREAT, the Berg is more than I expected, fantastic low end response, I can really annoy my “neighbour from hell” to my hearts content. thanks a million George. Hey George, firstly thank you for bringing this great gear to Australia at last. This rig is KILLER. It is so versatile, lightweight and I can cover any type of gig now.
I find that 85% of the time I get away with just the single cab ie. 250-350 seat venue. Bring out the second cab for anything bigger. Gets stupid loud and stays clear. Very hard to clip the preamp or power amp in the iAMP while still being cranked. Can’t find too many heads that can do that. The NL210 has a huge bottom end but tight and full with an even, solid but warm midrange and sizzly top-end. Beautiful !!! The best 210 I have ever played and I have played heaps believe me.

As far as heads are concerned you can’t go wrong with an iAMP 800 if you want clean, loud volume, and add to that 2 x NL210s = KILLER RIG. Cheers.

Hi George, it’s Cam from Tamworth. Thanks alot for all your time and effort your a great bloke. This bass rig is amazing it has put the spring in my bass sound – WOW!! so light. so much go for such a little rig. Thank you – all the best. Cam

Firstly I’d like to thank George at Bass Gear Direct Australia, truly an awesome guy to deal with, with awesome prices to boot! Everything from service, communication, purchasing, packaging, etc. has been fantastic and it’s certainly been more than a pleasure doing business with George. I made my decision to convert from another brand of cab, and it was definitely the right decision! I’ve never heard better clarity out of any bass rig ever, just a phenomenal crystal clear sound, and it’s totally balanced! I love it!
Some of the features which caught my eye when I first looked at purchasing the amp & speaker cabinet was the verstility in the EQ section of the amp, overall power of the whole rig, and the combined total Weight 24kg. It’s also got some cool little features you don’t normally see like a Stereo input for CD players, Stereos, etc. as well as 4 seperate EQ presets for some quick and awesome sounding settings. This setup is small & light yet powerful, and everything stays tight even when cranked to the max, and the best thing is, no clipping! I love the fact that the amp does not colour your tone at all, the only bad part is now I really, want a second NL-210 cab! Thanks heaps to George, and I look forward to getting my next NL-210 very soon in the future.

Rick Tobin – EA iAMP800, 1 x NL210 – Brisbane, QLD

Hi George, Just wanted you to know of my impressions of the NL210. I guess WOW is a great place to start. I was expecting big things from this box as I have always viewed EA gear as something to aspire too, and haven’t been let down at all. The volume these put out is phenomenal for a 210. With what I assume is a genuine 500w from my Crown amp, I had no trouble hearing myself in rehearsal.
I was a bit apprehensive as to how the Demeter/EA tone would sit with a rock band as I wouldn’t really consider either brand “rock and roll”, but it was great. I had some really nice preamp distortion happening for some tunes and it was “well rockin’.” I was surprised at how low my volume actually needed to be to cut through two tube guitar amps and a loud DW kit. I guess now I have a cab that actually reproduces all frequencies accurately I don’t need to use sheer volume to power through the mix. I was also amazed at how well I can now hear any EQ changes I make. I’ve never thought the Demeter EQ to be particularly powerful when used with other cabs, but now it’s as if my EQ section has doubled it’s cut/boost levels. I guess this is also testament to the NL-210’s response. I think 2x NL-210’s would make an awesome little rig (and weigh less than my rack). Now, I’d love to add to this an NM-410. That I think would be perfect.
Thanks, Berin McLennan

The NL210 sounded “phenomenal” last friday night. I still think for it’s size and portablity it is probably the best sounding 210 out there. It’s light, loud and so sweet on the ears. George is an awesome guy, he was incredibly helpful and my NL-210 got here in about 3 days.

Its been heaps of fun comparing the 2×10 and the 1×10. The 210 is definitely much more hi-fi and uncoloured than the wizzy10. Though I did a gig on Saturday night with an 8 piece ska band and the little wizzy really held its own – sound was clear and loud… definitely the best upright sound I have gotten with that band. During the week did a similar gig but louder with both boxes and they combined really well (the AI Focus will be running at 1000 watts which should be plenty).
I really am just enjoying how small and light everything is now – such an improvement on my old Hartke 3500 and Peavey quad box. thanks again – Paul

Hey George, the Wizzy112 is THE BOMB. Every gig Ive done so far, this baby smokes! it sounds incredible. I can see what you mean about the vintage vibe but it totally rocks my modern socks off. I love it. Thank you very much. Cheers, Sam.

Hi, George
I’ve just received the Wizzy cabinet, and I am one very happy camper. The cabinet arrived promptly, and in perfect condition. Hooked it up and had it throbbing and so far it sounds incredible – I don’t think I’m going to get much work done today :-) I’d like to thank you for your advice and assistance in helping me to choose the right speaker cabinet. You certainly made my decision much easier, and the personal touch makes a huge difference. I have a feeling we’ll be doing business together again. Thank you. Gary

George just wanted you to know that the CXL112 is much more clear and defined than the Aguilar. Been gigging it with the iamp800 and Hohner Jack headless bass and sound is what I’ve been looking for. Very flat, clear tone. This is a very bright cab but with the tweeter dialed right back with the active pickups this produced an even better bass sound with great depth, clarity & definition. With a little more Eq’ing my passive frettless started to “meow”. The tone was excellent. I’m really loving this cab. regards, Chris
