We are thrilled to announce that we are the newest dealer in Australia for the Sadowsky Metro bass line. If you are looking for the Vintage/Modern Fender bass sound this is absolutely the best way to get it. These are amazing instruments with truly outstanding "fit-and-finish", incredible value and as well they play and sound like a dream!

The Sadowsky Metro basses are made by the Sadowsky Tokyo team and are exactly like the NYC models built in the states; they feature the same pickups, preamp, hardware and design. The Sadowsky Metro line has 4 styles of basses to choose from. They are the Standard Series (no pickguard or control plate), Vintage Series (with pickguard and control plate). Ultra Vintage 70's Series (also with pickguard and control plate), the Modern Series and more recently the Hybrid P Series.

The quality of these instruments, set-ups and not to mention sound and feel are as great as compared to their cousins coming out of the NYC shop. In essence, the Metro Line will be the basic Sadowsky models.

Metro Hybrid P Series

This is a fusion of the Jazz bass and Precision bass best features. Comes with complete Vintage styling, a full size P bass body, Jazz bass neck, P pickup or P/J pickup configurations and Vintage Tone Control. Is available in 4 string models only. What you get is 2 fantastic basses in the one package.

Ultra-Vintage ’70s Series
The Ultra-Vintage '70s Metro features a full-size body, bridge pickup in '70s location (about 1/2" closer to the bridge), and a fingerboard with blocks and binding. Maple fingerboards are available with white or black blocks and binding, and rosewood boards have white blocks and binding. Each model is available with an alder or ash body, regardless of fingerboard choice.
 

Vintage Series
The Vintage Series Metro features a slightly undersized J-Bass body with pickup placement in '60s location. Rosewood boards are combined with alder bodies, and maple boards will have ash bodies.

Modern Series

This 5 string model features a two-octave neck to offer greater range on the upper register as well as the lower. The neck width tapers from 1+7/8" at the nut to 3" at the 24th fret. This results in a right hand string spacing that is approximately the same, string to string, as the 4-string bass. Two Sadowsky soapbar pickups are located to provide a tight punchy sound and to allow adequate room for slap style playing.

Standard Series

This model is identical to the Vintage Series model only difference is that it comes without the pickguard and control plate.

Metro UV70 MW - ASH 4, NAT Natural finish, Maple fingerboard, Ash body, Black pickguard, White Block inlays and side bindings, VTC (vintage tone control), Sadowsky JJ noiseless pickups in 70's location. This bass is Marcus Miller's in disguise . When you slap on this beast it cuts like a knife. This bass feels solid like a 70's bass and has the tone to go with it.
